From the New York Times Sunday Review Men’s Lib is a fascinating discussion of gender roles in the 21st century: …men need to adapt to what a modern economy and family life demand. There has been progress in recent years, but it hasn’t been equal to the depth and urgency of the transformation we’re undergoing. The old economy and the old model of masculinity are obsolete. Women have learned to become more like men. Now men need to learn to become more like women. The Dalai Lama speaks with German news media Deutsche Welle - Dalai Lama on Paris attacks: 'Work for peace, and don't expect help from God and governments' "The problems that we are facing today are the result of superficial differences over religious faiths and nationalities. We are one people." Right -- magical thinking will not solve our problems. Neither will religious institutions and dogmas that divide people - setting us against each other. The Dalai Lama is right -- We (all of humanity) are one people. It's time we started acting like it. It's time we started taking responsibility. It's time we started truly taking care of each other - our sisters and brothers - worldwide.
